Thank you to everyone who joined us for last night's Orchestra Informance! It was a joy opening our doors to friends, family, and supporters to share a peek behind the curtain as we prepare for our upcoming Fall Concert.

Instead of a traditional concert performance, our Informance gave guests an insider's view of what happens during orchestra class every day:

• Inside the Process: Audience members got to see how our musicians decode complex pieces, refine their technique, and build cohesion as an ensemble.
• Work-in-Progress Preview: Guests heard early, working versions of our fall repertoire while it was still coming together.
• A Seat at the Rehearsal: Friends and family got to sit in the audience, experience the energy up close, and see the dedication behind every note.

Thursday, September 18th, the students in the Maine West Orchestras presented Informances for family and friends. This casual performance gave guests a unique look inside the world of our student musicians! They were invited to sit right among the players, experiencing the sights and sounds from the musicians’ point of view. These informal performances offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how an orchestra rehearses, learns, and performs — celebrating the hard work and creativity of our talented students. Bravo to everyone who made the evening so special!

Tonight at the Orchestra Informance, students in the Maine West String Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra demonstrated what it is like to rehearse and play in an orchestra for family members sitting nearby within the ensemble. 

Well done, everyone! We can't wait to hear the pieces you played at the concert in October!
