The Maine West Speech Team found success this weekend at two tournaments! 

The Varsity Speech Team participated in the Espresso Tournament at Elk Grove High School...

...where Elisha made it to the Finals and placed 5th in Informative Speaking!

Our JV Speech Team went to the UltiMUTT Dog Show at John Hersey High School...

...where Jimena placed 5th in Informative Speaking, Elisa placed 1st in Poetry and Sam placed 3rd in Original Comedy!

Last weekend, our Maine West Speech Team traveled to the D211 Turkey Tourney to compete! We are so proud of the success our students' earned at this tournament! 

Elisha earned 1st place in Informative Speaking and Poetry!

Tristan earned 1st Place in Prose and 5th Place in Radio!

Elisha earned 2nd Place in Poetry!

Tochi earned 6th Place in Radio!

Lianna and Aisling earned 5th Place in Humorous Duet Acting!

On Thursday, February 23rd, the Maine West Speech Team celebrated the conclusion of a successful season at their Speech Team Awards Celebration. This year's team participated in a number of competitions, even placing several times!

On Saturday, January 14th, the Maine West Speech Team competed in Conant High School's "Comfy Classic" speech tournament. Elisha Joseph placed 4th in Poetry and Ana Danz placed 6th in Prose. Both of these categories are extremely packed and competitive fields! Congratulations, Elisha, Ana and the entire Speech Team for competing this Saturday!

On Saturday, November 19th, the Maine West Speech Team participated in the JV Turkey Tourney at Schaumburg High School. All of the members of the team performed admirably - each performance better than the one before!
